Welcome to the Department of Pure and Applied Sciences at Kirinyaga University. Our department is part of School of Pure and Applied Sciences. The department has enough and well trained members of staff in their areas of specialization who are actively involved in research activities. This is clearly demonstrated by the number publications made in each year. We offer a wide range of research and education opportunities in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, Statistics and information technology. This enables the students to be marketable in wide variety of scientific fields. We always strive to offer the best services to our students who are our customers and the process of service delivery is closely monitored to ensure that our students get the best services.

Upon completion our students are prepared to pursue careers in teaching or industry and are ready for graduate study leading to advanced degrees.
